How we create our content

Evidence over hype — always.

Vera's treatment guides are built on the Vera Taxonomy, a clinical classification system developed by experts in aesthetic medicine and K-beauty. Every page is grounded in clinical evidence and published research, not brand claims or influencer consensus. We believe people deserve accurate information before making decisions about their bodies.

Our principles

  • Evidence-based All clinical claims are sourced to clinical literature, published research, or FDA documentation. We cite our sources on every page.
  • Honest about limitations We include risks, contraindications, and "not recommended for" sections on every treatment guide — not just the benefits.
  • No advertising influence Vera does not accept payment from manufacturers or clinics to influence treatment content. No sponsored rankings, no paid placements in our treatment guides.
  • Updated regularly Treatment pages are reviewed and updated as new clinical data becomes available.

How our content is produced

Each treatment guide is built from the Vera Taxonomy — a structured clinical database covering treatments, concerns, techniques, and outcomes across aesthetic medicine. Content is drafted using this taxonomy as the canonical data source, then reviewed against current clinical literature and published research before publication.

Where clinical data is limited or contested, we say so explicitly. Where off-label use is common in practice, we note that it is off-label. We do not present manufacturer claims as independent evidence.

The Vera Taxonomy

A comprehensive standardization and classification of aesthetic treatments — designed with scientific rigor and visual clarity. The only aesthetic platform with a real map of the entire field.

Vera Verified

Medical aesthetics is fragmented, opaque, and often overwhelming. Vera Verified is our standard for trust and safety in aesthetic medicine — a rigorous provider verification process covering credentials and licensing, safety and operating standards, clinical philosophy, patient reputation, and human curation. Verified providers are re-verified every 6–12 months, with ongoing monitoring for license changes, disciplinary actions, and reported safety incidents.

A note on medical advice

The content on Vera is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Aesthetic treatments carry real risks. Always consult a board-certified physician or licensed aesthetic provider before undergoing any cosmetic procedure. Individual results vary significantly.
