What Vera Verified means

Medical aesthetics is fragmented, opaque, and often overwhelming. Consumers are forced to navigate by guesswork, clout, or aesthetics alone. Vera Verified is our answer: a rigorous standard for trust and safety in aesthetic medicine.

No paid placements. No shortcuts. No sketchy injectors. Vera does the homework — so you don't have to gamble with your face or body.

The Vera Verified standard

Vera Verified providers meet a multi-stage vetting protocol designed to confirm three things:

01

They're qualified and compliant.

02

They operate safely and ethically.

03

Patients consistently report great experiences and outcomes.

Verification is not a badge you buy. It's a standard you earn — and maintain.

What we check

01

Credentials, licensing & compliance

We verify the clinic is legally operating, properly supervised, and staffed within scope.

  • Medical Director identity and role clarity
  • Board certification + treatment-competency alignment: The Medical Director must be board-certified by ABMS/AOA in a specialty relevant to the highest-risk procedures the clinic offers. Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, and ENT remain the strongest default signal, but are not exclusive.
  • Minimum competency evidence: Documented training pathway (e.g., fellowship, residency-derived procedural relevance, accredited hands-on courses/preceptorships, proctoring/mentorship, or hospital privileges where applicable).
  • Active licenses and good standing for all clinicians
  • Insurance and malpractice coverage aligned to services offered
  • Background and sanctions screening
02

Safety & operating standards

We evaluate real-world safety — not just what's claimed online.

  • Clinical-grade sanitation and infection control
  • Proper handling of sharps and medical waste
  • Device maintenance and calibration
  • Authentic product sourcing (toxins, fillers, threads, devices)
  • Emergency preparedness for complications (including injectables readiness)
  • Clear consent, aftercare, and follow-up standards
  • Pricing and quote transparency
  • Privacy and patient dignity protections
03

Clinical philosophy

We look for “clinical K-beauty” standards: conservative, thoughtful, long-term care.

  • Emphasis on skin health and conservative dosing/plans
  • No one-size-fits-all packages
  • Treatment plans reflect staged care and long-term outcomes
04

Patient reputation

We analyze patient sentiment across major public review platforms. We look beyond star ratings to understand:

  • Consultation quality and education
  • Bedside manner and respect
  • Reliability and wait times
  • Follow-up support
  • Outcome satisfaction — and how issues are handled
  • How providers respond to criticism and negative reviews
05

Human curation

Some things can't be automated.

  • Structured provider interviews
  • Optional reference checks with industry insiders
  • Onsite visits for select flagship partners

What disqualifies a provider

Vera Verified is strict by design. We reject providers with red flags including:

  • Unlicensed practice or scope violations
  • Misrepresented credentials
  • Lack of proper medical oversight
  • Suspicion of counterfeit products or unclear sourcing
  • Coercive upselling or intimidation
  • Misleading before-and-afters
  • Active major disciplinary action or unresolved sanctions
  • Repeated serious safety incidents with poor accountability

Verification isn't permanent

Medicine changes. Teams change. Standards can slip. Vera Verified providers are re-verified every 6–12 months, with ongoing monitoring for license or staffing changes, new disciplinary actions, review trend shifts, and reported safety incidents. When an issue surfaces, we follow a structured incident protocol — including temporary badge suspension when warranted.

The promise

Vera Verified is the Michelin guide for independent medspas — built for trust and safety. Because aesthetic care should feel clear, calm, and evidence-backed.
