Vera Reception: Standards and Requirements

Last Updated: 12/1/2025

At Vera, our mission is to raise the world's skin game. We are not just a booking tool; we are a trust layer between high-intent Patients and the world's best aesthetic providers.

To ensure this trust, every Provider on Vera Reception must satisfy the following standards. Vera determines in its sole discretion whether a Provider meets these criteria. Meeting these requirements is the baseline for joining our ecosystem, but it does not guarantee approval.

All Providers must also comply with Vera's Terms of Service, Provider Privacy Standards, and Additional Terms for Providers.

1. Pre-Onboarding: What is needed to be approved

Before your profile goes live on Vera Reception, you must meet our strict vetting criteria. We curate supply to ensure our users encounter only the safest, most transparent options.

A. Licensure and Credentials

Facility Licensing: You must provide valid proof that your facility is legally registered to perform Aesthetic Treatments in your jurisdiction.

Medical Staff: Every doctor and nurse practitioner listed on your profile must hold a valid, active medical license. You must accurately list their specialties.

No "Shadow Providers": You must be transparent about who performs the treatment. The provider consulting with the Patient must be the provider performing the treatment, or the delegation must be explicitly disclosed and consented to.

B. Facility and Equipment

Safety Standards: Your facility must meet all local hygiene and safety regulations.

Equipment: You must provide a verified list of major equipment (e.g., lasers, ultrasound devices). We value "Science - evidence over hype"; therefore, you must use genuine, FDA/KFDA-approved devices, not unauthorized replicas.

C. Transparency and Pricing

Radical Transparency: Pricing on Vera must be clear. While we understand aesthetic pricing varies by dosage/area, you must provide accurate "starting at" prices or standard procedure costs.

Content: You must submit:

  • High-Quality Photos: At least 5 professional photos of your facility (reception, treatment rooms, consultation rooms) and equipment.
  • Menu of Services: A complete list of Aesthetic Treatments mapped to the Vera Taxonomy.

2. Ongoing Standards: Maintaining your Status

Once published, you must maintain high operational standards. We monitor Provider performance via Patient feedback and platform data.

A. Responsiveness and Reliability

24-Hour Confirmation: You must accept or decline Appointment Requests within 24 hours. High rates of expiration or rejection will negatively impact your search ranking and may lead to removal.

Accuracy of Availability: You are responsible for keeping your Vera Reception calendar or slot availability up to date to prevent double-booking.

Honoring Appointments: Canceling a confirmed appointment without a documented force majeure event is a serious violation of our standards.

B. Patient Interaction

Empathy and Respect: We expect you to treat Vera Patients with empathy.

No High-Pressure Sales: Vera Patients arrive "pre-educated" via our Research tools. You should not pressure them into unnecessary treatments or upsell aggressively during the consultation.

Data Privacy: You must adhere strictly to the Provider Privacy Standards, protecting the sensitive "before" photos and facial analysis data shared by the Patient.

C. Reviews and Feedback

Vera Reviews: You must maintain a high average rating from Vera Patients.

Dispute Resolution: If a Patient reports a "Covered Issue" (e.g., different equipment used than advertised, safety hazard), you must cooperate fully with Vera's support team to resolve the issue within 72 hours.

3. Prohibited Activities

The following will result in immediate suspension or removal from Vera Reception:

  • Off-Platform Booking: Encouraging Vera Patients to cancel their Vera request and book directly to evade platform fees/commissions.
  • Misrepresentation: Listing a doctor who no longer works at the clinic, or advertising a branded device (e.g., "Thermage") when using a generic alternative.
  • Discriminatory Behavior: Refusing service based on race, nationality, or background (consistent with our value of Inclusivity).
  • Unsafe Practices: Any report of re-using single-use needles, unsanitary environments, or operating without a license.

Keep in mind that if you make significant changes to your information (examples: to location or services) after it's published, it will be vetted again.

Vera reserves the right to update these standards as the aesthetic industry evolves.
