South Korea Additional Terms for Location-Based Services

If your country of residence is South Korea, the following terms additionally apply to you. These terms supplement the Vera Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Location-Based Services

1.1 Use of Location Data.

When you use certain features of Vera (including the Vera App and verakorea.co), we may collect information about your precise or approximate location. This is determined through data such as your IP address or your mobile device's GPS. We collect this data to:

• Help you discover Providers (clinics, medspas, and hospitals) and Aesthetic Treatments near you.
• Provide features within Vera Research and Vera Reception (booking) that are relevant to your current location.
• Improve the safety and security of the Vera platform.

Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services for applications in the device's settings menu. Vera may also collect this information even when you are not using the app if this connection is enabled through your settings or device permissions.

1.2 Charges.

Other than the standard fees associated with booking an Appointment or purchasing services through Vera Reception (if applicable), there is no additional charge for the use of location-based services on Vera.

2. Purpose and Period of Data Retention; Data Erasure

2.1 Purpose.

We use location information for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy and to "raise the world’s skin game" by connecting you with trusted local Providers.

2.2 Retention.

We generally retain your personal location information for as long as is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and Vera Beauty Inc. and to comply with our legal obligations.

2.3 Erasure.

If you no longer want us to use your information to provide the Vera services to you, you can request that we erase your personal information and close your account. For more details on how to exercise these rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

3. Your Rights

Where you have provided your consent to the processing of your personal location information by Vera, you may withdraw your consent at any time. You may do this by changing your mobile device settings, your Vera account settings, or by sending a written communication to Vera Beauty Inc. specifying which consent you are withdrawing.

4. Retention Records Verifying the Use and Provision of Location Information

Pursuant to Article 16(2) of the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, Vera Beauty Inc. automatically records and retains data verifying the collection, use, and provision of location information of Patients. This confirmation data is retained for a minimum of six (6) months to resolve any potential disputes regarding billing or service provision.
